Born on October 29, 1952, in Onamutai, Namibia, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah is the ninth of 13 children of Justina Nekoto Shaduka-Nandi and Petrus Nandi, an Anglican clergyman. Married to Lieutenant General (retired) Epaphras Denga Ndaitwah, she has three sons and enjoys children’s community work and reading. Educated at St. Mary’s Mission in Odibo, she earned a diploma in communist youth movement from the Lenin Higher Komsomol School in the Soviet Union (1975–1976), a postgraduate diploma in public administration from Glasgow College of Technology (1987), and a master’s in diplomatic studies from Keele University, UK (1989).
